شوالیه تاریکی یا شوالیه سیاه (به انگلیسی: The Dark Knight) فیلمی ابرقهرمانی، محصول سال 2008 به کارگردانی کریستوفر نولان و دنبالهٔ فیلم بتمن آغاز می‌کند است. این فیلم بر اساس داستان‌های شخصیت بتمن در کمیک‌بوک‌های شرکت دی‌سی کامیکس و دومین فیلم بتمن به کارگردانی نولان می‌باشد. کریستین بیل در نقش بروس وین/بتمن، مایکل کین در نقش آلفرد پنی‌ورث، گری الدمن در نقش جیمز گوردون و مورگان فریمن در نقش لوشیوس فاکس، همگی نقش‌های خود در فیلم قبلی را ایفا کرده‌اند. همچنین آرون اکهارت در نقش هاروی دنت، مگی جیلنهال در نقش ریچل داوس و هیت لجر در نقش جوکر در این فیلم ظاهر شده‌اند.

نولان برای داستان فیلم از داستان اولین کمیک بک با حضور جوکر که در سال 1940 منتشر شد، رمان تصویری جوک مرگبار و سری کمیک بوک‌های هالووین طولانی الهام گرفت. لقب شوالیه تاریکی اولین بار توسط بیل فینگر در کتاب بتمن (شماره 1) برای بتمن به کار رفته‌است. شوالیه تاریکی به‌طور عمده در شیکاگو تصویر برداری شده و بقیه مکان‌های این فیلم چند شهر دیگر در آمریکا، بریتانیا و هنگ کنگ است. نولان برای تصویر برداری چند سکانس فیلم از دوربین‌های آی مکس استفاده کرد، از جمله سکانس اولین حضور جوکر در فیلم. در 22 ژانویه 2008، چند ماه پس از ایفای نقش در فیلم شوالیه تاریکی و شش ماه قبل از اکران عمومی فیلم، هیت لجر به علت مسمومیت بر اثر استفاده از چند دارو با هم درگذشت. این رویداد باعث بیشتر شدن توجه رسانه‌ها به این فیلم شد.

شوالیه تاریکی در 16 ژوئیه 2008 در استرالیا، 18 ژوئیه 2008 در آمریکای شمالی و 24 ژوئیه 2008 در بریتانیا اکران شد و نظرات بسیار مثبتی از سوی منتقدان دریافت کرد و به عنوان یکی از بهترین فیلم‌های ابرقهرمانی و یکی از بهترین فیلم‌های دهه 2000 میلادی شناخته شد. همچنین این فیلم موفق شد چندین رکورد گیشه‌ای را جابه‌جا نماید. شوالیه تاریکی نامزد دریافت 8 جایزه اسکار شد که از این بین، جایزه بهترین تدوین صدا و بهترین بازیگر نقش مکمل مرد برای هیت لجر را دریافت کرد. شوالیه تاریکی برمی‌خیزد آخرین قسمت از سه‌گانهٔ کریستوفر نولان در 20 ژوئیه 2012 به روی پرده سینماها رفت.
