Ross has trouble understanding Joey’s revelation, as does Gunther. However, he comes to his senses and convinces Joey to tell Rachel how he feels. Joey takes her out to dinner and tells her, as she thinks it’s a joke. She doesn’t feel the same way, but they pledge to remain friends. Meanwhile, Phoebe meets Monica’s soulmate.
